If you’re a Simpsons enthusiast, you likely already know that the legendary cartoon’s creator will be swinging through Dallas on Wednesday, June 29 for a show (of sorts) at the Winspear Opera House. Fortunately, while Matt Groening is in Dallas, he’s going to eat well.
A post on Hypnotic Donuts’ Facebook page yesterday revealed that the beloved East Dallas fried dough heaven will be serving their Homer Simpson-inspired donuts to Groening in his green room. No doubt, that sprinkle-topped donut will be an excellent foil to Duff Beer.
Should you find yourself at Hypnotic Donuts and craving a Homer, you can snap a photo of yourself cramming that fried delight into your face with the hashtag #hypnoticdonuts and share on Instagram for a chance to win two free tickets to Groening’s appearance at the Winspear.
Otherwise, you’ll have to enjoy that donut without the man who inspired it. Which is still pretty great.
