The time has come once again for DFW Restaurant Week, the month-long fundraiser that allows diners to score a deal on dinner while doing a little good. Announced late last week, DFW Restaurant Week will return on August 15, and you can expect pretty much the same situation as years past.

According to CBS DFW, last year’s DFW Restaurant Week raised more than $740,000 for the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas and Fort Worth’s Lena Pope Home. "DFW Restaurant Week is our organization’s largest fundraising event and the money raised goes a long way in support of our work to put food on tables for hungry North Texans," said North Texas Food Bank CEO Jan Pruitt.

As in years past, you’ll be able to score a three-course prix fixe dinner for $35 or $45 at one of the 125 participating DFW restaurants. A number of restaurants will also offer a $20 lunch option,

In the announcement, DFW Restaurant Week also recognized the restaurants that raised the most funds in 2015. Topping the list in Dallas was Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, along with Al Biernat’s, Abacus, and Eddie V’s Prime Seafood. In Fort Worth, The Capital Grille and Eddie V’s topped the list.

Eager diners can begin making their reservations on Monday, July 18 via OpenTable or directly through the restaurant. For the uninitiated, you’ll want to make your reservations sooner rather than later – the most coveted tables are always snapped up quickly.
