In the days following the July 7 tragedy when five Dallas police officers were murdered after peaceful Black Lives Matter protests, the city’s restaurant community stepped up to feed hungry officers as they continued to work throughout the weekend. Now, they’re continuing the love all week long.

Cedars Social, the bar located just across the street from Dallas Police Department headquarters, will kick open the doors for a week of fundraising lunches. "We cannot thank the DPD enough for their service and sacrifice," said Cedars Social co-owner Jeffery Yarbrough in a statement. "We are honored to have the opportunity to give back to these men and women who selflessly protect our city."

Scope out the schedule below:

  • Tuesday, July 12 – Fearing’s Chef Justin Box and Parigi Dallas Executive Chef and Owner Janice Provost.
  • Wednesday, July 13 – Kitchen LTO’s Nick Amoriello and CBD Provisions Sous Chef Carolanne Treadwell.
  • Thursday, July 14 – Former Kitchen LTO and Cafe Momentum chef Anastacia Quinones and Chino Chinatown owner/chef Uno Immanivong.
  • Friday, July 15 – The Cedars Social’s Chef Dexter Samuel, TBD chef.

The Cedars Social Facebook page will be updated daily with each chef’s menu, and all proceeds from the lunches will be donated to the Dallas Police Association’s Assist The Officer Foundation. If you’ve been wondering how to give back to Dallas police in the wake of this tragedy, here’s your chance.
