So long, Del Frisco’s

For the first time since 1993, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in North Dallas will no longer be an option for first dates and panicked husbands who forgot their anniversaries.

Announced via release, the Del Frisco’s on Spring Valley will close its doors next month to make way for its shiny new home in Uptown. The move has been in the works since 2014, and at the time, the swanky steakhouse promised that there would be no downtime ahead of the big move.

Over the past 23 years, Del Frisco’s says that it has served more than 70,000 of its Signature VIP Cocktails, more than half a million 8 oz. filets, and 130,000 crab cakes, just in case you weren’t convinced on Del Frisco’s status as the city’s go-to spot for special occasions.

Fortunately, your last chance to dine at Del Frisco’s coincides with KRLD Restaurant Week, coming up on August 5. From the 12th through the 19th, diners will be able to say their farewells to the restaurant while dining on a cheap(er) prix-fixe menu.

The final dinner service at the Spring Valley outpost of Del Frisco’s will take place on Friday, August 19. The Uptown location is set to debut in September.
