The northerly arrival of slightly fancier Chick-Fil-A knockoff Super Chix appears to have been a success.

Announced today, Super Chix will open its second Dallas location at the buzzy CityLine development planned for 1551 E. Renner in Richardson. Originally owned by Yum! Brands, the chain’s first outpost opened in Arlington in 2014, and closed later this year. The first Dallas location at Preston & Beltline came in May of 2015.

Nick Ouimet, who founded Super Chix, purchased the concept from Yum! Brands and is currently planning expansion. In addition to the new Richardson location, Super Chix will open three new North Texas locations over the next two years, alongside international locales including the United Arab Emirates.

“Super Chix’s Dallas location has seen explosive growth along with a very dedicated fan base of chicken, fries and weekly frozen custard lovers,” said Ouimet in a statement. “We’re excited to open another location and introduce even more chicken fans to our classed-up chicken joint atmosphere.”

The Richardson location of Super Chix is expected to open before the end of August.
