Empty for nearly four years, the former sports bar that sits next to The Highland Hotel on Mockingbird Ave will soon have a brand new tenant.

CultureMap reports that NOLA Grill, a Cajun-Creole eatery based in Frisco, will expand to the space that once housed Brackets. Before that, the building was home to one of the last outposts of legendary tiki bar Trader Vic’s. (RIP)

Owned by Nick and Christine Totten, the first outpost of NOLA Grill opened back in 2013. Chef Nick Totten’s menu of Cajun classics (think po’ boys, oysters, and gumbo) has proven popular with diners in the ‘burbs, and considering the dearth of solid Louisiana-inspired fare in Dallas, it’s certainly a welcome addition.

No concrete opening timeline has yet been announced, but the restaurant is set to open at some point in Fall 2016.
