Drag Brunch Returns To Cedar Grove

Once hosted at now-shuttered Dish, drag brunch is back

Dallas’ brunch scene is ridiculously strong, but there was no boozy midday meal quite like Drag Brunch, the boozy weekend extravaganza formerly held at DISH Cedar Springs. When DISH shuttered to make way for Cedar Grove, Drag Brunch sadly disappeared from the calendar — until now.

A Facebook event for Drag Brunch indicates that the event is returning to Cedar Grove this weekend. Much-beloved by Cedar Springs locals, Drag Brunch will be held the last Sunday of every month, with three performances (10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.) per day.

As if you needed any excuse to drag out the feather boas and belt your favorite Cher tunes, the brunch specials at Cedar Grove aren’t anything to sneeze at. $4 mimosas will be on offer, in addition to the restaurant’s full brunch menu.

The second coming of Drag Brunch kicks off on Sunday, September 25. Considering how long it has been away, you may want to snag your table early — reservations can be made via OpenTable or calling the restaurant.
