Carnivore Heaven Gen Korean BBQ House Is Officially Open

So. much. meat.

All you can eat meats in a nightclub? Sure.

It’s sort of bizarre, but a small strip mall at the intersection of the George Bush Turnpike and Old Denton Road is perhaps the hottest restaurant district in DFW right now. Earlier this year, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar and crazy-popular Taiwanese eatery 85°C Bakery Café opened their doors, and now a massively popular West Coast Korean barbecue spot has officially landed.

A spokesperson for Gen Korean BBQ House tells Eater that the restaurant has officially opened its doors at 2540 Old Denton Road. The concept is an all-you-can-eat buffet of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood, ranging from classic Korean barbecue meats to “contemporary flavors,” all of which you grill yourself at the table.

A small chain based in Los Angeles, the Carrollton location marks Gen Korean BBQ House’s first foray into Texas. Perhaps thanks to its West Coast beginnings, the spot offers a somewhat “clubby” vibe with its “sleek seating” and “modern blue lighting.”

Gen Korean BBQ House is currently open for lunch starting at 11 a.m. On Saturday, October 1, the restaurant will host a grand opening party that will involve plenty of free food samples and raffle prizes, just in case you needed any more incentive to go try an all-you-can-eat meat buffet.
