Earlier this year, the relocation of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse to its shiny new home in Uptown left vacant a 10,000 square foot space in North Dallas. Now, the iconic building has a brand new tenant.
The Dallas Morning News reports that Al Biernat’s has purchased the building on Spring Valley Road with plans to open a second outpost of the similarly spendy steakhouse. The original Oak Lawn location will stay open, which means that you’ll now have two places to stuff your face with pricey aged beef.
The new location will “replicate” the existing Al Biernat’s menu, and will also feature a newly-renovated space to match the dining room vibe of the original. Put simply, you probably shouldn’t expect a whole lot of innovation or change at the new Al Biernat’s, and that’s likely a good thing for most regulars.
The second outpost of Al Biernat’s is set to debut in September 2017.
