When Carlo’s Bake Shop first opened its doors in Dallas last year, folks went wild over Cake Boss Buddy Valastro’s pastries. There was so much enthusiasm, in fact, that it took weeks for the line to get your hands on one of those famous lobster tails died down. Now, the chain is hoping that lightning strikes twice.
Back in December, we learned that the bakery was plotting expansion in Dallas-Fort Worth, and now GuideLive reports that Carlo’s Bake Shop will open its second DFW outpost at Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre early next month. According to a spokeswoman for Carlo’s, the Dallas opening was “hands down” the chain’s biggest debut in a market to date, meaning that Dallas has a serious appetite for custom cakes and fancy pastries.
The Dallas location marked the chain’s first foray into Texas, joining 14 currently-open outposts of Carlo’s Bakery in Florida, Nevada, Brazil, and the original Carlo’s Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Carlo’s Bake Shop will make its debut at Stonebriar Centre on February 4. Don’t be surprised if folks are already lining up outside the mall for their first cannolis in Frisco.
