After nearly six years of serving up one of Dallas’ finest selections of craft beer, The Bottle Shop has announced via Facebook that it will be shutting its doors at the end of the week.
This closure is just one more in a recent trend of Lower Greenville casualties – the area lost Clark Food & Wine and Remedy just last month. As in past closures, Bottle Shop owner Stephanie Roethlisberger says that ongoing construction and parking challenges in the neighborhood haven’t exactly been conducive to retail. “You can’t just park, run in, and get a growler filled or grab a six pack and get outta there without having to valet park or walk half a mile,” Roethlisberger told the Dallas Observer.
All isn’t totally lost, though – Bottle Shop is throwing a weekend long party kicking off on January 20 to celebrate their years on Greenville Ave with copious amounts of cheap beer, including 512 Pecan Porter, the shop’s “house wine.” Stop by anytime Friday through Sunday to help clean out their cellar and build your own beer collection on the cheap.
