— In celebration of its second anniversary, Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. will once again serve up $1 grilled cheese sandwiches and $1 Deep Ellum Brewing Co. Dallas Blonde draft beer today. The last time Dallas Grilled Cheese Co. tried this out, it resulted in lines around the block, so you might want to get there early — the doors open at 11 a.m. today — if you’re dying to score a cheap sandwich.

— Confirming Eater’s report that Chef Richard Blankenship had left his post at CBD Provisions to take a job at the new Omni Frisco, a press release announces that Blankenship will serve as Executive Chef at the hotel’s outpost of Nick Badovinus’ Neighborhood Services. The Omni Frisco is expected to open this summer, along with the restaurant.

— As part of a major renovation on Downtown’s Trammell Crow building, an 8,000 square foot space will open up for two as-yet-unnamed restaurant concepts. At the corner of Harwood & Ross, expect a “full-service, upscale dining option.” Considering the pace of building construction in Dallas, don’t expect for the new projects to land in a hurry.
