The Halal Guys Will Bring Even More Chicken & Rice To DFW This Spring

Next up: Plano

With two locations already open in DFW, locals have been decidedly enthusiastic about the arrival of The Halal Guys, even waiting in line to score their first white sauce drenched platters. Now, the popular NYC transplant will bring even more chicken & rice to DFW.

Franchise owner Shezad Jiwani tells Eater that the newest DFW outpost of The Halal Guys will arrive at 8448 Parkwood Blvd. in Plano’s Parkwood Village. This will be the first of at least a few locations of The Halal Guys planned for the northerly ‘burbs, and is operated by a separate franchise group than the locations that have already opened in Dallas and Richardson.

The Halal Guys is just the latest big name to announce its plans to open in Plano. It joins Shake Shack, concepts from Matt McCallister and John Tesar at Legacy Hall, and Sprinkles Cupcakes, all expected to open their doors at some point this year. Which means that it might be the only time in history that Plano’s dining scene has been so exciting.

The Halal Guys is set to make its debut in Plano by May 2017. No word yet on a timeline for future outposts in the north suburbs.
