The arrival of a new year always (theoretically) promises a fresh start, but for two beloved Dallas eating & drinking establishments, the beginning of 2017 was the death knell.
A post to Good 2 Go Taco’s Facebook page announces the popular East Dallas taco shop’s closure, attributing it to the restaurant just running its course. “We don’t come to the decision lightly but we feel like we’ve accomplished everything we wanted and are ready to move on to the next chapter,” reads the statement. Good 2 Go’s closure just comes days after Cow Tipping Creamery announced that it would no longer be slinging soft-serve from the space it shared with the taco shop.
CraveDFW also reports that Henderson Avenue watering hole Vickery Park suddenly closed its doors over the weekend, a move that came as as a surprise to both the bar’s crowd of regulars and its employees. No reason has yet been announced for the closure, or what would potentially take over the bar’s prime piece of real estate.
