Last week, Village Baking Company closed its retail storefront in University Park in order to move to a bigger outpost in the Design District.
The brand new location is set to arrive this week at 4924 Woodall Street, near the intersection of I-35 and Mockingbird. It’s large enough to accommodate the major growth that the locally-grown bakery has seen in recent years, and will serve as a production kitchen for the breads and other goods that Village Baking supplies to its retail customers and restaurants across the metroplex.
Village Baking Company’s Lower Greenville sandwich shop Boulangerie will continue to operate as normal, and a new retail storefront is in the works for the Park Cities, though no timeline for its arrival has been set just yet. The bakery has also teamed up with UberEats for pastry and sandwich delivery, which means that it’s now possible to score a croissant without venturing to the Design District.
Village Baking Company’s Design District storefront is set to debut on Thursday, October 5. The shop will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
