Al Biernat’s is bringing its signature, high-end blend of steak, meat and seafood to North Dallas when it opens its second location at 5251 Spring Valley Road on October 18th.
The Spring Valley spot previously held a Del Frisco’s Steakhouse; the Al Biernat’s team gave the space an extensive — read: $4 million dollars worth —renovation. The resulting space is an airy, sunlit spot complete with a three-story atrium and an array of dining “areas” located throughout the restaurant, to suit whichever mood (intimate, fun, etc.) strikes.
While steak (and plenty of other meat choices) is the main draw to Al Biernat’s, the menu is loaded up with lots (and lots) of upscale seafood dishes — like a chilled seafood tower and caviar — and accompaniments like gussied-up salads and classic vegetable sides like creamed spinach. Al Biernat’s North says it will house some 8,000 bottles of wine on the premises.
The original Al Biernat’s location at 4217 Oak Lawn Ave. has been operating for almost 20 years — it will celebrate its two-decade anniversary next summer.
