Calling all grilled cheese fans: sandwich shop Melted is open and ramping up in The Cedars neighborhood, according to the Dallas Observer. The shop opened in the beginning of the month with a “li(melt)ed” menu (get it?), and so far it’s serving fancy grilled cheeses like one loaded with pulled pork, ham, mustard, Swiss, and pickles.
Augment a Melted sandwich with tomato soup or mashed potato-stuffed pierogies from the Dallas Farmer's Market’s Matka's Pierogies. Besides a hefty draft list, Melted serves up martinis like the Beatlejuice, a vodka martini with pickled beet juice.
A grilled cheese sandwich-focused brunch is happening too at Melted, with bottomless mimosas and choices like a Wake & Bacon sandwich with two sunny-side eggs, thick-cut bacon, jam, and two different types of cheese served on sourdough bread.
