Beloved movie theatre chain Alamo Drafthouse Cinema continues its takeover of North Texas. A new outpost is heading to Denton in June 2018, reports GuideLive. This will be the fifth Alamo Drafthouse to open in the area: locations in Richardson and the Cedars are already open, and more are in the works for Lake Highlands and Irving.
There’s a personal reason the chain wants to open in Denton: a few of the Alamo corporate types went to college in town. It sounds like the Denton Alamo Drafthouse will look similar to the one that opened in the Cedars in 2016. Like that movie theatre, the Denton location will also have a bar and restaurant named Vetted Well. Expect to find 8 screens, 925 luxury recliners, and 32 local beers on tap at the Denton outpost.
Howdy, Denton! We'll see you this summer. https://t.co/hMXvKI2sw7 pic.twitter.com/NPbf6xi4bU
