After creating one of Dallas’ finest sushi establishments, restaurateur duo Tracy Rathbun and Lynae Fearing are readying their second seafood-focused concept, set to make its debut in the coming months.

Announced via release, Rathbun and Fearing have hired former Abacus chef Aaron Staudenmaier to serve as executive chef at Lovers Seafood & Market. Staudenmaier has most recently served as executive chef at Boot Ranch, an upscale private club in Fredericksburg, Texas after departing Abacus in 2012. He’ll work with fellow Rathbun restaurant alums including pastry chef Ty Bohoney and ggeneral manager Heidenreich, who opened Kent Rathbun’s original Jasper’s in Plano.

As far as the menu is concerned, Staudenmaier will serve up a selection of soups (think gumbo and clam chowder) alongside Thai-style mussels, ever-trendy tuna poké, lobster rolls, and po’ boys. In addition to the full menu, diners will also be able to take home fresh seafood and shellfish from the adjacent market.

No official opening date has yet been announced for Lovers Seafood & Market, but look for it to arrive sometime in March.
