If you’ve ever wanted to live out your dream of being a real-life rodeo cowboy, that’s probably never going to happen. But a new bar headed to Arlington will give wannabes an experience that might be (probably isn’t) as good as the real thing.
CultureMap reports that the bar, called PBR Country Bar, will set up shop at the forthcoming Arlington food & entertainment district Texas Live. The “PBR” in the bar’s name comes from the Professional Bull Riders organization, which famously hosts the world’s biggest bull riding competitions. The Arlington outpost will likely be similar to the PBR Rock Bar in Las Vegas, NV, home of the World Bull Riding Championship.
In addition to a mechanical bull on which drunken revelers can make a fool of themselves, the bar will also serve up plenty of beer and live music. The bar will also play a Warrant cover of Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” at midnight every night, which is as tacky as it is likely to encourage its patrons to buy even more booze.
No word yet on when exactly PBR Country Bar will make its debut, but look for it to land in 2018, when the Texas Live district is expected to open to the public.
