There’s already one Shake Shack in Dallas, but the burger chain’s slow takeover of DFW will continue when its second outpost officially kicks open the doors next week.
Escape Hatch Dallas originally reported a rumor that Shake Shack’s Plano location would soon be making its debut, and Eater can now confirm that the burger joint will officially arrive on March 29. No word yet on whether or not the Plano Shake Shack will serve up any new locally-inspired creations, or if current options like the Pecan Lodge sausage-topped Link Burger served in Uptown will be on offer.
Whatever the menu looks like, one thing is for sure — the Plano location will most likely offer a better parking situation than the valet nightmare that exists outside the Uptown Shake Shack. At Legacy West, it will join concepts like Canadian restaurant Earls, Sprinkles Cupcakes, and Taverna.
Time will tell whether or not the Plano Shake Shack will inspire similar (or even longer!) lines than its Uptown predecessor, but don’t be surprised to see crowds forming at Legacy West on March 29.
