Considering the popularity of Braindead Brewing, second-generation restaurateur Sam Wynne and his team have found the formula for Deep Ellum success. As Wynne’s second concept in the neighborhood prepares to open its doors, we’ll have to see whether or not lightning strikes twice.
A post to Bowls & Tacos Instagram page indicates that it is just about ready to start serving fish tacos and Hawaiian poke bowls, and that the space’s certificate of occupancy should come any day now. Once the CO has been obtained, the restaurant will be able to finally get into its kitchen and try out the recipes on some very lucky “test dummies.”

Originally anticipated to open by the end of 2016, a new opening date for Bowls & Tacos has not yet been announced. Fortunately, though, it looks as if the restaurant is just a few weeks away from becoming Dallas’ hottest new spot for a bowl of poke.
