Since 2015, there have been a lot of ups and downs for Revolver Taco Lounge. The Andrew Zimmern-approved spot has long been planning a Deep Ellum outpost, but the original Fort Worth location has faced closure and landlord woes over the past two years. Now, Revolver Taco Lounge has finally made its Dallas debut.
The Dallas Observer reports that Revolver Taco Lounge is now finally open at 2701 Main, just a stone’s throw away from beloved barbecue institution Pecan Lodge. According to the Observer, Revolver owner Regino Rojas loss multiple investors before Deep Ellum real estate magnate Scott Rohrman stepped in to ensure that the restaurant would actually happen.
In addition to Rojas’ much-lauded tacos, and perhaps most excitingly, the chef will also serve prix-fixe dinners in a small space at the back of the restaurant. Priced at around $100 each, the dinners will feature Rojas’ take on Michoacan cuisine, which Andrew Zimmern described as the best in the city.
Revolver Taco Lounge is now open for lunch and dinner starting at 11 a.m. At present, you’ll have to BYOB, but Rojas has a liquor license in the works.
