After announcing that it would make its first moves into DFW earlier this year, famed falafel spot Mamoun’s will officially open its first restaurant in Uptown.
The NYC-based chain has chosen a space at 3839 McKinney Avenue for its first foray into Dallas-Fort Worth, reports CultureMap. The restaurant first opened in New York City in 1971, and has since expanded to include outposts in Connecticut and New Jersey.
As was reported back in January, the Dallas outpost of Mamoun’s Falafel will be operated by a local franchise group, Ghassanis Bros LLC. According to Mamoun’s franchise website, new franchisees are required to commit to a minimum of five restaurants, which means that a few Mamoun’s Falafel outposts will likely follow in the coming months.
The restaurant group has confirmed that it will open more than one restaurant, but locations beyond Uptown, which is expected to open later this summer, have not been announced as of yet.
