Next month, a new spot called District 30 is set to bring a bar for beer snobs to Oak Lawn.

The new spot, from the minds behind popular Asian fusion spot Sushi Axiom, will set up shop at 3211 Oak Lawn Avenue, reports CultureMap. The space was formerly occupied by serial restaurateur Eddy Thretipthuangsin’s Bite By Eddy T, which closed its doors in 2016 after being open for just five months.

The restaurant will serve a menu of “upscale comfort food,” featuring French, American, and Italian influences. Gastropub standbys like burgers, crab cakes, and steak will be on offer, along with a selection of beers. Unfortunately for folks that like cheap domestic beer, this spot plans to only offer IPAs. Whether or not that will be a controversial decision remains to be seen, especially when summer’s hottest months hit.

District 30 Gastropub is expected to make its debut in June. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
