Ice cream is already an entirely perfect food, but when Ice Cream Wasted arrives in Oak Cliff, it will seriously raise the bar on this creamy frozen treat by adding plenty of booze.

Over the past couple months, the shop has held tastings to introduce the concept of booze-infused ice cream to Dallas, and now Ice Cream Wasted will finally be ready to kick open the doors next month — but only by reservation. It’s the sweet shop’s second outpost — the first debuted in Plano back in January of this year.

For those not in the loop, Ice Cream Wasted’s Instagram-worthy offerings are 100% dairy-free, made with an organic coconut milk base. From there, alcoholic favorites like Guinness, Frangelico, and bourbon are infused into the ice creams, along with flavors like chocolate, butter pecan, and caramel corn. In addition to the lower-proof scoops, Ice Cream Wasted also offers “ice cream shots,” which offers an 80-proof punch of booze.

Also of note: the ice cream here is served inside clear, non-edible cones, which, according to the shop, was a choice intended to make the treats look more visually appealing. Other unique vessels are used too, like a hollowed out watermelon stuffed with a few scoops of ice cream.

Ice Cream Wasted is set to open on July 16 at 12 p.m., and calling an Uber home will definitely be in order.
