Veggie burgers are easy enough to find in Dallas, but later this month, the Impossible Burger will seriously step up Hopdoddy’s plant-based burger game.

After making its debut in Houston, the Impossible Burger will soon be available at all Dallas locations of Hopdoddy Burger Bar. The burger recently made its Texas debut in Houston, where James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd offers it on the menu at his two restaurants, and will also be available at Hopdoddy’s original locations in Austin.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Impossible Burger, its been considered the most “meatlike” meatless burger since being introduced last year. Invented by Stanford scientist Pat Brown, the patty is made with wheat, potatoes, and coconut fat, but it’s the addition of heme (aka the molecule that makes meat taste so meaty) is what produces the “blood” that oozes from the Impossible Burger after it’s been cooked.

The Impossible Burger will make its Dallas debut at all three local Hopdoddy locations on June 23.
