After a long week at the office, a weekend (and/or weekend-ish, no judgement) treat from Weekend is in order. Weekend Coffee is here to fulfill that treat need. The third-wave coffee spot located in the lobby of The Joule Hotel is starting up a new end-of-week-only soft serve ice cream program, where all flavors are made in-house.
While the shop is typically open daily from 6:30am until 6pm at 1511 Commerce Street, the ice cream fun is happening at Weekend on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:30 - 9pm. Flavors will rotate between tastes like horchata, strawberry yuzu, peach almond and cookies & cream among others.
Choose a cup or waffle cone for $3.50 and top the ‘cream with toppings — classic sprinkles, sugared hazelnuts among the choices. And, like any good third-wave coffee shop that also serves ice cream and is totally worth its salt — Weekend will have an affogato (going for $6) on the menu. Swoon.

If ice cream isn’t enough to sate a sweet tooth, chocolate cake — Devil’s food, German chocolate cake — is also available to Weekend, for $4.50 a slice. During these later hours, Weekend will also offer boozy upgrades to their cups of joe — or a full-on coffee cocktail. They encourage patrons to talk to a barista for the deets. Cheers.
