Eater Dallas has just gotten word that The Statler — the hotly anticipated hotel/residence/food & drink destination — has signed with the Dallas-based company Epic F&B, LLC to manage all the hotel’s forthcoming food and drink offerings. And Dallas chef Graham Dodds has been tapped to lead all kitchen operations within the hotel. We also now have a good rundown of just what The Statler will offer for eats and drinks.
Dodds will oversee a half-dozen spots within The Statler. Overeasy will serve all three daily meals and have a coffee bar. Scout will have a hip sporty bar vibe, with American food and plenty of on-tap craft beer (to go along with billiards, foosball and ping-pong.) Fine China will be open for lunch and dinner, serving Pan-Asian food and booze from across Asia, along with a high tea service. Bourbon & Banter is an “underground cocktail lounge” with craft cocktails and plenty of bourbon and whiskey. Waterproof is the roof deck bar/lounge, situated poolside. Lastly is the Grand Ballroom, which will host concerts, weddings and other large-scale events.
Dodds is no stranger to the Dallas restaurant scene — he’s logged time at Bolsa, Hibiscus, The Farm Stand Cafe & Market. He opened the vegetable-focused Wayward Sons in late 2015; in 2016 it was named Eater Dallas’ Restaurant of the Year. It sadly shuttered in early 2017.
The Statler is slated to open later this fall.
