SusieCakes Expands Its Sugary Empire to Fort Worth

Cowtown will soon be flush with frosting-filled cupcakes

SusieCakes

Later this year, SusieCakes will bring its scratch-made sweets to Fort Worth’s WestBend Shopping Center.

SusieCakes made its DFW debut in 2016, when the chain opened a location in Dallas’ Preston Center. Earlier this year, an outpost arrived in Plano, bringing a desperately-needed infusion of frosting-filled cupcakes to the suburb. In its time in Dallas, SusieCakes has earned plenty of fans of its sweet offerings, including cupcakes, colorfully decorated custom birthday cakes, cookies, bars, and whoopie pies.

Susan Sarich, who started SusieCakes with a collection of recipes written out on notecards, continues to grow her freshly-baked empire. Founded by Sarich in Los Angeles in memory of her grandmothers, the chain operates locations in California and Texas. The Fort Worth outpost will be the 20th SusieCakes to open its doors.

SusieCakes is set to open at WestBend Shopping Center in Fall 2017.
