Eater Dallas Is Hiring An Associate Editor

Is it you?

Attention writers, editors, and journalists of all stripes: Eater Dallas is looking to hire an Associate Editor that is totally obsessed with the city’s dining scene. Is it you?

Eater Dallas is looking for someone who is available to work part-time, writing for Eater on a daily basis. The Associate Editor will work directly with editor Amy McCarthy to write, report, and edit stories for Eater Dallas and Eater Houston. There are also opportunities for the Associate Editor to write feature-length stories, produce high-quality video alongside Eater’s video team, and contribute photography.

Candidates for the Associate Editor position should have experience in writing news for an online publication, familiarity with content management systems and social media, and an eye for news. Experience in photography and/or videography are an added bonus, as is knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, and Google Apps. Note: this job does not entail writing restaurant reviews.

This is a part-time gig with commensurate pay, perfect for freelancers with flexible schedules. You’ll be able to work remotely as long as you can keep your ear close to the ground for good restaurant and nightlife intel, and are available within normal business hours.
