At the end of the month, Peruvian restaurant Joyce & Gigi’s will officially close its doors for good.

Opened in 2012, the restaurant at 1623 North Hall is closing because its lease is up, and because founder Gigliolia Zimmermann is moving in a new direction after recently getting married, reports CultureMap. "One thing that Joyce & Gigi's taught me is that this industry is extremely demanding,” says Zimmermann. “I wasn't sure I was ready to extend the lease for another five years, and at this point, it's not just my decision, it's also my husband's."

In its tenure, Joyce & Gigi’s earned raves from critics and diners alike for its affordable tasting menu, complimentary wine and margaritas, and crave-worthy, flaky empanadas. In 2013, it earned favorable reviews from the Dallas Morning News’ Mark Vamos, and former Dallas Observer critic Scott Reitz.

At present, diners have about three more weeks to check out the restaurant before it closes for good on August 31.
