In the coming years, West Coast chain Fatburger will make its first foray into Dallas’ already-crowded burger scene.
The California-based chain is currently planning to open at least 50 “cobranded” outposts of Fatburger and sister restaurant Buffalo’s Express in Texas, according to a press release. Together, the restaurants serve up burgers and wings via two distinct concepts housed inside the same building, similar to the hybrid Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants.
The first of these Texas locations is expected to open in Dallas, though no specific address has been announced just yet. For folks who are unfamiliar with the concept, Fatburger serves up customizable burgers, chicken sandwiches, chili cheese fries, and shakes, while Buffalo’s Express offers a menu of classic and boneless chicken wings tossed in a variety of sauces.
Eater has reached out to a representative for Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express for more details on the chain’s expansion into Texas.
