Next month, Bulla Gastrobar will bring tapas to Plano’s bustling Legacy West development.
The Spanish-themed restaurant from Florida will open its first Texas location at 6007 Legacy Drive. Bulla Gastrobar currently operates five locations in Florida and Georgia, and a sixth is in the works for Charlotte, North Carolina. The restaurant takes its name for a Spanish slang word for “chatter,” or “noise,” and offers up a vibe that’s inspired by the tapas bars of Barcelona.
As far as the food is concerned, Bulla will bring its full menu to Plano, including signature dishes like a grilled octopus salad with Roma tomatoes and cucumber and paella made with Valencia-style rice, prawns, clams, shrimp, and saffron. A few unique-to-Texas dishes will be on offer, including the essential inclusion of a margarita on Bulla’s cocktail menu and a shrimp and fish ceviche mixed with roasted jalapeno.
Bulla will be open for suburbanites to enjoy tapas and wine on the outdoor terrace in February. Hours of operation have yet to be announced, but expect lunch, happy hour, dinner, and weekend brunch service.
