Health-Obsessed Restaurants Are Taking Over DFW

Original ChopShop’s juices and grain bowls continue the trend

In-line with the fast-casual health food trend, two out-of-town concepts are coming to DFW to sprinkle their acai and quinoa-filled dishes across the metroplex.

Last August, Eater reported that Houston’s Bellagreen would open its first DFW outpost at The Hill shopping center in 2018. Now, the restaurant’s sister eatery Original ChopShop will make its way to Dallas. Original ChopShop is set to open two locations — one in Las Colinas, and another at The Shops at Legacy — before the end of the summer, reports CultureMap.

As far as the food is concerned, Original ChopShop will bring a sizable menu of juices, fruit bowls, and egg-stuffed wraps for breakfast, along with salads, sandwiches, and grilled protein bowls with quinoa, sweet potato, or rice bases on offer during lunch and dinner. Bellagreen and ChopShop are the latest in a slew of new health-obsessed eateries making their way to Dallas, joining restaurants like Gather Kitchen, Flower Child, Malibu Poke, and other fast-casual spots that cater to vegan, gluten-free, and paleo diners.

The Las Colinas location of Original ChopShop is expected to open at 7300 North MacArthur Boulevard in April. Bellagreen is set to follow in May.
