Smoothie bowls already exist in Dallas, but Colorado-based chain Rush Bowls has plans to bring the chilly, healthy dessert to multiple locations across DFW.
No official locations have been chosen just yet, but a press release announces that local franchisees Ted and Elizabeth Bachmeier are considering Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth as candidates for Rush Bowls’ first Texas location. Rush Bowls will open at least three restaurants in Texas in 2018, finally bringing the smoothie bowl trend (in which fruits, juice, and superfoods are pureed together and topped with a variety of garnishes) to Dallas in earnest.
Rush Bowls makes their “meals in a bowl” with yogurt, fruit, or acai as a base. The bowls can be tricked up with garnishes like organic granola and honey, protein powder, and even more fruit. The chain also offers a variety of dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options for people with dietary restrictions.
Rush Bowls hasn’t announced an official opening date for its first DFW outpost — stay tuned for more details on its arrival.
