Billed as Dallas’ first American-Italian restaurant and lounge in one, Pazzo Uptown is officially throwing open its doors next week.
The American-Italian joint, announced last year, will open at 2680 Cedar Springs Rd. Pazzo promises a “chic” dining experience full of unique spins on classic American and Italian dishes, with a lounge (complete with DJ) just steps away.
A closer look at Pazzo’s menu shows respectable lunch, dinner, and brunch offerings detailing traditional Italian standbys like pizza, pastas, and porchetta chops, next to beef filets, grilled salmon, chicken, and raw bar items like oysters and seafood towers. Pizzas and pastas are available in gluten-free varieties including the health-food-obsession zucchini noodles.
And of course, it wouldn’t be Uptown without at least a couple of nods to the neighborhood. At Pazzo, it comes by way of cocktails named the “Walk of Shame” with Zephyr Gin and Angostura, the Jersey Shore-inspired “G.T.L.” with Ford’s Gin and housemade tonic; and of course the “Gold Digger,” listed at a cool $75, made with Patron Gran Platinum, 100 Year Grand Marnier, and something called “Unicorn Tears,” a glittery gin liqueur that’s been infused with edible flecks of silver.
Pazzo’s dinner service will begin Thursday, January 18; brunch will start on Saturday, January 20; and full hours (including lunch and happy hour) will start Monday, January 22. Dining room hours are Sunday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday until 2 a.m. Lounge hours are Friday and Saturday 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
