Omar Flores’ fried chicken and biscuits debuted this week in Plano: the chef opened his second Whistle Britches at The Shops at Willow Bend, Escape Hatch Dallas reports. The restaurant is located at 2405 Dallas Pkwy #4. According to prior reporting, this branch of Whistle Britches is outfitted with patio seating, a large private dining room, a market selling to-go items, and a dedicated bakery just for those famous biscuits and more baked goods.
It’s a big year for Whistle Britches: the restaurant made it to the Food Network TV show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives in 2018.
The hours for the Plano Whistle Britches location are Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
