Hiccups Restaurant and Teahouse, a forthcoming hotspot for spicy chicken wings and inventive drinks, will soon open its doors in Frisco.
Sky Hoang, founder of the California-based chain, tells Eater that it will open at 9144 Prestmont Place, Suite 220, early next year. It’ll be the first Texas outpost of the Instagram-friendly restaurant to open in Texas, joining more than a dozen restaurants currently open and set to debut in California and Arizona. Additional Texas locations are in the works for Houston and San Antonio.
As far as the food is concerned, Hiccups Teahouse serves a pretty wide-ranging menu of dishes. The crispy popcorn chicken is a favorite, and equally crisp tofu bites offer a vegetarian alternative. Fries topped with Cajun spices or sriracha and cubes of filet mignon are also an option, along with chicken wings and entrees like pad thai, kimchi fried rice, garlic noodles, and pho. The shop will also be home to an outpost of Churroholic, its sister sweet shop known for its loopy churros dipped in chocolate and crusted with cereal, nuts, and more toppings.
The drink menu at Hiccups Teahouse is equally extensive, with everything from chamoy-spiked mangonadas to milk teas served in mason jars, lemonades, smoothies, slushies, and coffee drinks like Vietnamese iced coffee and sea salt coffee. Boba, lychee-coconut jelly, and more add-ins make each drink even more customizable.
Hiccups Teahouse is expected to open in Frisco in February 2019. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
