The minds behind Hide, Eater Dallas’s 2018 Bar of the Year reader’s choice winner, will open a new patio bar in East Dallas.
Toller Patio Bar will set up shop at 3675 Ross Avenue early next year, bringing a laid-back drinking destination to the neighborhood just east of Highway 75, according to CultureMap. Indoors, the space will offer a midcentury modern aesthetic, and a 12,000 square foot dog-friendly patio is sure to be a fair-weather destination for drinking draft cocktails and chowing down on bar fare like burgers and chicken wings.
The arrival of Toller comes a little more than two years after the opening of Hide, which has earned a reputation for serving excellent cocktails in Deep Ellum. It appears that the new bar will have a bit more casual, less scientific approach to libations than Hide, which employs centrifuges to “extract flavor molecules from fruit,” and grows its own garnishes in a hydroponic garden.
Toller Patio Bar is expected to open in spring 2019. Stay tuned for more details.
