Austin’s Tacodeli is set to debut its third DFW location in Plano this week, right on schedule with the North Texas expansion it announced last fall.

The shop at 8442 Parkwood Blvd in Parkwood Village will be opening on Thursday with more than 40 breakfast and lunch taco options that have made the brand a success in its other locales. The menu, as with all other Tacodeli outposts, boasts local and responsibly sourced ingredients, including organic and certified humane pork, and chicken that is raised on a vegetarian diet without the use of antibiotics.

Standouts include the El Conquistador with pork shoulder, chile pasilla sauce and avocado, and the Tikin XIC with salmon and onion and habanero escabeche. Tacodeli’s chef and founder Roberto Espinosa was raised in Mexico City and apprenticed in the Yucatan before moving stateside, which informs his menu of street-inspired tacos.

When Tacodeli’s adds its second Plano location in mid-2018, DFW will have nearly as many outposts as Austin (which counts five). Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch beginning at 11 a.m. On weekends breakfast is served all day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and it’s BYOB.
