Poke Go Go Will Replace Shell Shack In Uptown

The boiled seafood destination is getting a new home

Over the next couple of months, the Uptown outpost of boiled seafood haven Shell Shack will be transformed into a new restaurant called Poke Go Go.

The growing seafood chain is shuttering its Uptown location and relocating to Knox-Henderson, taking over the space formerly occupied by Mellow Mushroom at 2326 Henderson Avenue, according to CultureMap. Now in the peak of crawfish season, Shell Shack will keep its doors open in Uptown right up until it’s time to make the move to Henderson Avenue.

Once Shell Shack has moved, Poke Go Go will begin serving up raw fish bowls, and if the restaurant succeeds, it will likely be replicated in Dallas and beyond. Shell Shack is currently in expansion mode, with a newly-opened outpost in Fort Worth and plans to move into the Houston market over the next couple of years. Two locations, one in Houston proper and another in Katy, are already in the works there.

Shell Shack is expected to arrive in its new Henderson Avenue home within the next two months. Poke Go Go will follow soon after.
