After a robbery earlier this week, Zoli’s NY Pizza is enlisting the help of Dallas pizza enthusiasts to find the trio of masked men who stole from the restaurant.
The heist went down early Monday morning, and surveillance footage shows three people in masks and long sleeves using a crowbar to smash a window near the patio. Once inside, the thieves quickly locate a small safe and manage to unbolt it from the floor. After snatching the safe, Zoli’s says that the robbers “ransacked” the restaurant’s office, and “screwed up” its point-of-sale server.
The robbery forced Zoli’s to close its doors for lunch, but the Addison pizzeria was back in action by dinner. Now, they’re asking for help in identifying the admittedly well-disguised thieves. “Alright, Elite Zoli’s Facebook Crimefighting Squad...it’s time for you to do your internet sharing and sleuthing so we can catch these fools who spent their early Monday morning robbing your pals at Zoli’s instead of getting ready to go to work,” reads a post to Zoli’s Facebook page. “I KNOW someone out there has to at least know this dude who still dresses like he’s an extra from Moesha. I mean, matching orange shirt and shorts, bro?”
Zoli’s is now open again for regular business hours, and internet sleuths can scope out a snippet of the security footage below:
