Next week, international french fry chain Get Fried will make its Deep Ellum debut, bringing yet another late-night dining option to the neighborhood.
Situated across from Pecan Lodge at 2656 Main Street, the eatery will be serving six different kinds of fries with more than 20 sauces and protein toppers until 3 a.m. on weekends, according to a press release.
Diners can look forward to regular, waffle cut, curly, and sweet potato varieties, alongside traditional Canadian poutine with cheese curds and gravy, plus Dutch frites, and sliders sandwiched between two giant waffled potatoes. The franchise also offers a variety of finger foods like chicken tenders and something called “pizza logs,” a snack that involves pepperoni and cheese rolled into a pizza crust and baked.
The New York company is currently expanding internationally into Egypt and across Texas with locations planned for Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. Dallas’ franchise will be run by local businessman Muhammad Abdullah, “who comes from a family of entrepreneurs and has eight years of business management experience in other retail locations.”
Diners can check out Get Fried Fry Cafe when it opens on May 31. Hours of operation are Sunday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to midnight, and Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. until 3 a.m.
