The poké trend in North Texas can not be stopped. Right on the heels of California-based brand LemonShark Poké’s announcement that it’s headed to Dallas, now home-grown Malibu Poke is expanding to new neighborhoods.
The buzzy poké restaurant from Jon Alexis, owner of TJ’s Seafood Market, will open a second Dallas location in the new McKinney & Olive hi-rise development at 2355 Olive Street. The original Malibu Poke opened in Oak Lawn in November.
Malibu Poke is heading to Austin as well: the first Austin location is slated for at the city’s new Seaholm District. Alexis and partners Ben and Eric Kusin anticipate that both restaurants will open in early fall 2018.
