Rush Bowls, a health-obsessed smoothie bowl shop from Colorado, has announced that it will open its first location in Dallas at Mockingbird Station.

As Eater reported back in January, Rush Bowls has long been eyeing an expansion to Dallas-Fort Worth, and has since inked deals for three locations — the Dallas outpost at 5331 East Mockingbird Lane, along with locations in Flower Mound and Keller. Those suburban locations are also set to arrive this summer and in the fall, respectively, and up to eight new outposts are expected to open over the next couple years.

For folks unfamiliar with the smoothie bowl craze, the breakfast or snack involves a pureed mix of fruits — frequently, Brazilian superfood acai berry is involved — that is topped with granola, honey, and more fruit. At Rush Bowls, nearly 20 different types of smoothie bowls are on offer, ranging from the classic acai combination (acai, banana, granola, honey) to more inventive riffs like the peach cobbler bowl, made with fresh peaches, bananas, peach juice, and milk.

Rush Bowls is set to debut at Mockingbird Station before the end of the summer. Stay tuned for an official opening date.
