It’s the moment Lucia fans have been waiting for: Macellaio, the new restaurant from the owners of the long-time favorite Italian spot, is opening its doors tomorrow at 287 N. Bishop Ave. in Dallas.
A Facebook post this afternoon for the new restaurant reads: “Macellaio opens tomorrow! We’re now accepting reservations online at www.macellaiodallas.com. A bigger, more casual concept only a block away from Lucia, Macellaio focuses on housemade salumi and bread and dishes inspired by Italy, France, Spain and local ingredients.”
Eater just did a scan of Resy and there’s a 9:30 p.m. dinner slot for tomorrow, and then looks like there are quite a few openings for the rest of the week, so get on it. But it sounds like diners can try their luck and walk in as well. “We have a 19-seat full bar that’s available for walk ins to enjoy dinner and cocktails,” the post reads. The hours will be Sunday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
There’s one more thing diners at the charcuterie spot need to know: “It’s pronounced mah-cheh-LIE-oh,” the post reads.
