Izkina, Deep Ellum’s new Spanish-style eatery, is getting ready to serve tapas for its grand opening. The bar at 2801 Elm Street is connected to the new Deep Ellum Hostel, where a bed in a hip dorm room goes for $40.
The 2,000-square-foot Izkina’s menu is full of tapas and pinxtos (bite-sized snacks), along with drinks like classic cocktails, local beers, and Spanish wines. The daily hours for Izkina are 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Take a look at the interior in the photo below, and check it out in person this Thursday, July 19, at 7 p.m. for the official launch party for the hostel and restaurant. Izkina promises on Facebook: “Complimentary libations and tapas, music, and an Open House of the hostel.”
