DFW Airport boasts a ton of restaurants from fast food to more upscale eateries, but there’s one local favorite it’s never hosted until now: Whataburger.
Eater has learned that the DFW Airport Board just approved the addition of the Texan burger chain in a meeting today. CBS DFW originally reported that the board would be voting on whether to add the airport’s first Whataburger to the food lineup.
According to a representative for DFW Airport, the Whataburger in question will make its debut sometime next year in Terminal E’s satellite building, which has been closed for renovation with a proposed reopening date of March. In the next few months, the airport will have a better estimate of when Terminal E Satellite will reopen and when its restaurants will debut.
In the meantime, check out Eater’s comprehensive guide to the best places to eat at DFW Airport and stay tuned for more information on Whataburger’s airport debut.
