Over the next few weeks, Plano will be home to Original ChopShop and JuiceLand, both destinations for health food enthusiasts.

Original ChopShop is set to open next month at 5717 Legacy Drive, bringing its menu of salads, sandwiches, and smoothie bowls to the suburb. To create one of the restaurant’s popular “protein bowls,” diners start with a base (brown rice, sweet potato hash, or quinoa), protein (chicken, steak, tofu, shrimp), and are finished with a variety of veggies, sauces, and toppings. Breakfast dishes like avocado toast and scrambled egg bowls are also on offer, along with fresh-pressed juices, protein shakes, and smoothie bowls made with pitaya (dragonfruit) and chia seeds.

Also en route to Plano is JuiceLand, the Austin-based smoothie shop that’s already got two DFW locations. The Plano outpost at 2401 Preston Road will debut this weekend, bringing its juices, smoothies spiked with potent “superfoods” like maca and Blue Majik (an algae extract with a bright blue hue) and grab-and-go vegan fare.

JuiceLand will make its Plano debut on Saturday, August 25. Original ChopShop will follow on September 7.
